Travel drives – powerful and precise at the same time

Travel drives set your crane in motion. They function as crane travel drives and move wire rope hoists, chain hoists and wheel blocks. The more precisely they can be controlled, the faster and more accurately the crane operator can position his load. The integrated centrifugal mass and the low-noise gears make for particularly smooth accelerating and braking – which has a positive effect on load swing, for example. Two speeds in a ratio of 4:1 are standard. There are many finely graduated steps between the slow 5/20 m/min and the fastest drive with 10/63 m/min. You can thus match your crane perfectly to your individual requirements.

Travel drives – the advantages * Choose from 2 standard drives: 5/20 m/min or 10/40 m/min * Stepless speed control with even smoother running characteristics (on request) * Power reserves thanks to high duty cycle: 60 % DC * Maintenance-free gear with lifetime lubrication * Smooth running characteristics thanks to integrated centrifugal mass and low-noise gears * Safe power transmission by spline shaft to DIN 5480 * Comprehensive equipment: integrated disc brake, integrated torque support.

SR wheel block system – inconspicuous all-rounders for cranes and systems

Wheel blocks are unobtrusive all-rounders in STAHL Crane Systems' range of products. However the potential applications for these reliable heavyweights are practically unlimited: storage and retrieval machine, portal crane or stadium roof – our wheel blocks can get practically anything heavy moving. The rigorously modular system is designed for wheel loads from 5 t to 30 t. You can choose from six wheel diameters: 125, 160, 200, 250, 315 and 400 mm. The compact units consist of a metal housing with integrated wheel. Available in various designs, they are bolted or welded to customers' machine or system components.

SR wheel block system – the advantages * Universal use for wheel loads from 5 t to 30 t in 6 frame sizes * 5 standard configurations provide maximum flexibility for connecting to customers' structural steelwork * Reliable drives for every requirement * Wheel in spheroidal graphite cast iron EN-GJS-700 (GGG70), with flanges on both sides for quiet running and reducing wear on the runway * Self-lubrication ensures minimum wear * Lifetime lubrication of roller bearings * Maintenance-friendly as wheel can simply be pulled out to the front * Up-to-date manufacturing technology with lasered sheet steel parts * Inherently stable housing enclosed on 5 sides * Generously dimensioned ground clearance * Space-saving pancake gear (on request) * SFD frequency inverter (on request).

Option: guide rollers The standard guide rollers are designed for flanged wheels. In special cases, guide rollers can be mounted on the wheel block. This version is used for example with overwide rails or to reduce rolling resistance. The use of additional guide rollers is also important to reduce skew forces and thus minimise wear on the runway rail.

Crane electrics – reliable top quality products

STAHL Crane Systems offers a comprehensive range of products and safety features for crane electrics, ranging from easy-to-operate control pendants to complex control systems. All electrical components are designed for a long service life and their modular design offers numerous possibilities to combine and extend them.

Crane electrics from STAHL Crane Systems – the advantages * Festoon cable power supply systems * Conductor lines: no more troublesome festoon cables! * Radio remote control switches: safe operation from any position in the shop * Rocker-type control pendants * Crane controls for hoisting, cross and long travel (divided up or complete in one panel box) * Frequency inverters for smooth starting and braking, and stepless lifting and travel. They prevent dangerous load swing and thus let you handle even delicate goods safely.

Richards Wilcox Cranes

SFD frequency inverters – longer service life, increased safety and speed for your crane

Give your crane and yourself a treat – with our frequency inverters! The stepless acceleration minimises stresses on the crane runway and the building structure. At the same time dangerous and time-consuming load swing is counteracted. Particularly if a high volume of loads needs to be handled and if the loads are heavy or delicate, you shouldn't do without our frequency inverters. Load-dependent travel also saves time: an analog load sensor calculates the weight suspended on the hook and permits higher travel speeds with light loads than under full load. They are parametrised by means of an external operating unit or the convenient PC software.

Richards Wilcox Cranes

SFD for mounting on motor up to approx. 3.5 kW

SFD frequency inverters – the advantages * Stepless acceleration and braking, thus longer life for crane and building * Minimum load swing * Load-dependent travel via analog load sensor * Parametrisation via LCP2 operating unit or PC
