The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SE high speed industrial door includes the following standard features:
- Unique, vertically flexible, BreakAway™ SoftEdge profile system. In the case of a collision, the door panel breaks away without damage and is easily fed back into the guide tracks, minimizing damage to goods and reducing risk or injury to personnel. * Programmable converter control box with NEMA 4 enclosure. Includes plug-in cable connectors to control box. Optional hard-wired control box available
- Fast opening speed of up to 100" per second promotes effective material handling.
- Direct drive electric motor/gearbox, 230v or 460v / 3phase/ 60 hz. * 1/16" thick reinforced PVC panel material is tear and puncture resistant. Color choices: orange, blue, yellow, red or gray.
- Full-width vision area.
- Horizontal spring steel wind-lock profiles with twin rollers, integral with door panel.
- Full-width top draft seal.
- Fast operating speed.
- Guide tracks are gray, impact resistant, self-supporting galvanized steel.
- Electric door panel reversing edge and photocell.

Fast, Heavy Duty and Self Repairing for High Traffic Areas
Albany Door Systems' self repairing UltraFast™ high speed door is a work-horse. It was designed specifically for high traffic, heavy duty, industrial and commercial applications. The door can be applied in either interior or exterior applications where moderate wind and/or negative pressure are a problem. When fork-truck traffic is high, maintenance is a concern and safety concerns are at a premium, UltraFast™ is the solution.
Speed and Panel High Performance
- Speed: UltraFast opens at up to 60 inches per second.
- 2-Ply monofilament panel material standard with 3-Ply and Vinyl optional.
- Blue or Yellow panel material is standard, consult factory for other color availability.

After a door is impacted, the driver simply follows the directions on the screen, pushes a button and the door repairs itself. Everyone knows that no matter how fast a door is, it will get hit. In addition, while it is great to have a break-away door, it is far better to have a break-away door that is self-repairing. All Albany doors are self-repairing.
UltraSmart™ Controller
Makes Troubleshooting Easy All Albany doors come standard with Albany's exclusive patent pending and fully modular UltraSmart Controller. In the event of a problem, Albany's UltraSmart Controller diagnoses it and recommends a solution. If the door is impacted and breaks away, the Controller walks the operator through all the steps required to fix the door quickly and without hassle. The UltraCool UltraSmart control box comes standard with an integrated rotary disconnect.

BacLight™ Safety Light Curtains (Optional)
Prevents Injury Albany doors offer more protective sensors than anyone in the industry. As a result, the risk of injury to people and damage to product is reduced significantly. One of the most common causes of injury is when a door comes down on a person and hits them in the head or face. This is often the result of photo eyes being improperly installed, or worse, not installed at all. Albany provides its exclusive patent pending BacLight Safety System on most doors. The BacLight system offers a full curtain of protection up to approximately seven feet high on both sides of the door. As a result, loads cannot go below or through the beams without being detected. Once an object is detected, the door automatically retracts. No door is as safe as Albany.
BacOut™ Safety Egress Weights (Optional)
Automatically Raises Door in Emergencies Albany doors can be supplied with our unique BacOut Safety System. When a power outage takes place, people want to get out of the building. In the event of an emergency, they want to get out fast. Albany's exclusive BacOut Safety System is automatic. Simply pull the brake release and the door will begin to open, allowing egress to occur easily and efficiently. No manual cranks or climbing ladders to open a door without power. Simply pull the brake release and you are able to get out. Availability dependent on door size.
Wireless Safety System UltraFreeze
